I Have Received Word of Your Next Assignment...

Karisvale is a narrative-driven top-down mystery game where you assume the role of Shaymus O’Malley, a seasoned detective who has been summoned by the mayor of Karisvale to find a missing citizen. You must explore the town of Karisvale, question its citizens, and piece together what exactly is going on in this uncanny game.

A Plethora of Interesting Characters

Every citizen features branching dialogue paths that allow you to form your own conclusions in this gripping, cryptic narrative. Karisvale tells a non-linear story and it is up to you to piece it together.

Exploring Karisvale will net you hidden Dead Flowers that contain information on the history of where they were found. Find Dead Flowers in hidden rooms, through puzzles, and by talking to the townsfolk. I wonder what might happen if you collect them all...

Critic Reviews

9/10 - IL PALLINO, Steam Curator

"This is one time where a free game is a better use of money than buying Steam market items. Go ahead and see what awaits at the true ending of the game."

9/10 - DaRevieweD, Steam Curator

"If you love stories that start out meh but then gradually evolve into weirdville; which is probably its true name... Then this is one for the ages."

axelgust30, Steam Curator

"The story is amazing and the twist of an ending is entirely worth seeing."

WOW! I was caught off guard by that ending, I really didn't expect that. I'm replaying this again after playing the demo and I am impressed. What an interesting storyline and great ambiance. I definitely thought I was playing a horror game at some moments. It's an amazing game, considering the first demo! I really loved it!

The game was interesting and I was completely surprised by where the story went. I was not expecting the ending of the game.

You did a really good job! Looking forward to seeing what you create next.

What a great game! I love the graphics and the atmosphere while playing it. Interesting content and thankfully, I didn't experience any bugs, which is why I really enjoyed the game. Waiting for new updates in the future! :)

Thank you so much for your comment! You have no idea how glad I am you didn't experience any bugs. Progress has been slow, but this version of the game is now being considered the beta compared to the fleshed-out version in development now. College is sort of getting in the way but I am committed to launching the finished product here on itch and also on Steam! Sorry for the life-story dump lol, I'm thrilled you enjoyed Karisvale.

I love the game so far! Immersive visuals and plot really keeps the game going, although I encountered a couple of bugs. One where the flower/coin counter textures are overlapping with each other, and second when entering a building the character and black door frame textures overlap, causing some z-fighting. Overall though this is really great game. It was cool to see some Stardew Valley art in there too, which I'm sure is changing in the future. Looking forward to future updates!

We're so glad you had fun with Karisvale. And you're spot on, Stardew valley has some great art that we used for this early build, but as Karisvale grows we plan on having 100% original content. Thank you for informing us about these bugs, we genuinely didn't know about them! We hope you'll play Karisvale again when the new update drops. We're hard at work to improve the entire gameplay experience.
